Do I need an account to place an order?
What are the benefits of opening an account?
Opening an account allows you to save basic information like your address and email so you do not have to enter it every time you want to place an order. You can also check the status of your current orders and view your order history.
How do I change information on my account?
You can edit your information on your Account page after logging in.
What if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, please follow the forgot password link on the login page. An email will be sent to the address you used to create your account with a link to reset your password.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept the following credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. We also accept PayPal.
Can I place an order over the phone, e-mail, or fax?
At this time we do not accept phone, e-mail, or fax orders. You must place your order through our website.
I saw an item in one of your stores but I cannot find it on your website, is there any way to order it?
Certain items are only sold in stores, not online. Unfortunately we are unable to take orders for items not listed on our website.
An item I want to order is out of stock on your website. Will you get more of them?
We may restock certain styles, but there is no guarantee we will be able to get more of them. You may choose to be notified by email when an item is back in stock by choosing the corresponding option on the item page. This does not necessarily mean that we will restock the item, only that we will notify you if we do.
Do you offer international shipping?
No, at this time we can only ship to addresses within the US.
How do I know when my order will arrive?
After placing your order, it will take 1-2 business days to process and ship from our warehouse. When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number you can use to see where you order is and get an estimated arrival date. Transit time for shipments will depend on the shipping options you choose at checkout and your shipping address. If you do not receive a shipping confirmation after 4 business days, please contact customer service.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled at any time before they have shipped. To cancel an order, please contact customer service. Once an order has shipped, if you no longer want the item(s), you must go through the return process in accordance with our Return Policy.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or with missing/incorrect items?
Please contact customer service immediately if you have received an incorrect order or damaged items.
Returns and Exchanges
Can I return or exchange items I bought online?
Most items can be returned within 21 days for an exchange or refund to the original form of payment. Please see our Return Policy for details.
I sent back an item for return, when can I expect to get my refund?
Refunds may take up to 14 business days to process once we receive your returned item. To check on the status of your return, please contact customer service. Depending on your method of payment, refunds may take additional time to show up on your statement.
What is your in-store return policy?
Items may be returned within 21 days of purchase for exchange or store credit. We do not offer refunds in-store. Returns must have all original tags and the sales receipt. Sale and clearance items are final sale and may not be returned. All accessories, lingerie, and hosiery are final sale and may not be returned, with the exception of shoes and handbags. Worn, washed, or damaged merchandise will not be accepted for return.

I do not live near any of your stores, will you ever open one near me?
Steps is always expanding into new areas. We will announce all upcoming store locations on our website and through social media. Until then, you can find many of the same styles available in our stores on our online store, and shipping is available to anywhere in the US.
I found an item I wanted at one of your stores but they did not have my size. Will they ever get more of them?
For most items, no. To keep our inventory new and fresh, we order only small quantities of each style. Once they're gone, they're gone, but we always have new styles arriving so you're sure to find another special piece.
Do your stores carry the same items that are available on your website?
You may be able to find many of the same items from our website in stores; however, the items we carry vary from store to store. We cannot guarantee any items you see on our website will also be available in any particular store, or that a specific size or color will be in stock at our stores. Some items are only available in stores, and some are only available online.
Can you ship items from your stores?
No, at this time items cannot be shipped directly from our stores.
I would like to work at one of your locations, how do I apply?
The best way to apply is to stop by the store in person to fill out an application. You can also visit our Careers page to see what positions we are currently hiring for and submit an application. Not all job openings are posted online, so even if you do not see the store you are interested in listed, we may still be accepting applicants online or at the store.
